Shit - It's 1:30AM...

...and I've got work tomorrow. Go figure how I ever got the job as a fed but it does pay for the bacon and the Irish Whisky (and the Kirschwasswer). I am hitting the hay, right after Pink Floyd is done singing "Wish You Were Here"! How appropriate with all my nostalgia tonight...

Later,
Bart

Friday October 8

Any of you slugs, or young lasses, want to get together for a beer cool beverage Friday night, October 8? I will try to make it to Glendale if someone wants to meet up there - maybe in Casey Jones' (of course that means a side trip to Joe Yumet's house). Let me know. Probably after 9.

Later for you,
Bart

PS: I may stop there tomorrow night too.

Poor Little Alisson - I Miss Her A Lot

Gordon Lightfoot must have known her because he sang so well about her (though he spelled her name differently than how I remeber she spelled her's). Click on the arrow to play the song then scroll down and read the lyrics:

"Poor little Allison
Standing in the night wind
Laughing out loud
Turning her face to the summer rain

Poor little Allison
Never had much goin'
Hard to forget
Always in step with the world she's in

Never knowin' never feelin'
Showin' so much pride
Never sayin' what she's thinkin'
Or feelin' deep inside

Poor little Allison
Dreaming of the right one
Laughing out loud
Lost in a crowd of fair weather friends

Never knowin' never feelin'
Showin' so much pride
Never sayin' what she's thinkin'
Or feelin' deep inside

Poor little Allison
Standing in the night wind,
Wishing out loud
Turning her face to the summer rain
Hard to forget
Always in step with the world she's in"

She knew I loved her and I hope it helped in at least some small way. Hell, I still love her and miss her.

All the best,

Bart
